Will Jesus Christ come back to the earth again?

Question: Will Jesus Christ come back to the earth again, since they crucified Him the first time He came?

Answer: Before the Lord Jesus left this earth He said He would do three things:

1. "I WILL SEND ANOTHER COMFORTER" [John 16:7].  This He did on the Day of Pentecost [Acts 2:1-4].

2. "I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH" [Matt. 16:18].  This He is doing.

3. "I WILL COME AGAIN" [John 14:3 ].  This He will do.

When the first was complete then He began the second.  He will not come until the Church is complete.  The Second coming of Christ is taught from one end of scripture to the other.  It is mentioned more than His first coming in the Old Testament.

His coming is twofold.  First He comes for the church [1 Thes .4:16 & 17].  He will take them up to meet Him in the air.  All born-again believers will be there.  He will come later down to the earth and to Israel [Rev. 19:11].  "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives,..." Zech. 14:4.  It will be at that time, "they (Israel), shall look on Him whom they have pierced" and will be born-again in a day [Zech. 12:10 and Isa. 66:8]. They will accept HIM as their Messiah and some of them will be saved. He will then set up the promised kingdom upon earth and reign over them
forever [Luke 1:33].  "He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end."  Then it will be fulfilled, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward me." Luke 2:14.
